Every year we support hundreds of local people to overcome their obstacles to employment and find a job.
Make a referral

If you’re engaged with someone who could benefit from specialist employment or skills support, Opportunity Sheffield team is here to help.
With over 40 individual projects in Sheffield as part of Pathways to Work, covering a wide range of geographical locations and specific barrier groups, it can be difficult to know where to make a referral.
This is why, as part of our local co-ordination role on Pathways to Work, Opportunity Sheffield offers impartial triage to employment, skills and health projects across the city.
Our triage service is designed to ensure everyone receives the right type of support, in the right place, to maximise their chances of getting and keeping a job.
Opportunity Sheffield triage offers:
- a single ‘front door’ to simplify the referral process in Sheffield
- information gathering and signposting from an impartial triage officer
- easy access to a wide range of location-based and specialist projects
- support to understand the individual’s needs and ensure the most appropriate referral
